Investing In Tampa Bay Businesses & Talent
Business-Driven. Talent-Focused.
In today’s fast-paced global economy, CareerSource Pinellas and CareerSource Tampa Bay are keenly aware of the pressures businesses face to stay competitive. Successful, sustainable businesses stay ahead of the curve and continuously adapt to changes that affect their market, products or services. These services may require employees to learn new skills to stay current with technologies and processes.
That is where we can help. Training is a fundamental aspect of our mission to strengthen the region’s business climate and help our citizens enter, remain and advance in the workforce.
Each year, we provide funding opportunities for qualified businesses to train their existing employees through the Employed Worker Training (EWT) program. This flexible program is designed to provide financial assistance to employers that recognize the importance of investing in their employees. The skills employees gain help companies to achieve greater retention, maximum productivity and market competitiveness.
Beginning July 1, 2015, CareerSource Pinellas and CareerSource Tampa Bay will accept applications to receive EWT funding. Qualified employers along with entities that carry out programs under the National Apprenticeship Act for the provision of training their existing workforce in alignment with the workforce initiatives found in the Tampa Bay Partnership’s Regional Business Plan are encouraged to apply.
The Employed Worker Training is a great way to invest in the professional development of your employees and provide them the opportunity to acquire industry recognized certifications that can be instrumental in moving your business forward.
