Hello Chamber Members and Followers,
This post begins the story telling of all that’s happening in the UTB, there is much to get caught up on. My year actually started a few weeks early attending a couple ribbon cuttings.
First was the new Thornton’s in Oldsmar, a good crowd turned up to break in the new store. This project was a badly needed upgrade to the southeast corner of Forest Lakes Boulevard and Tampa Road. The Thorntons staff was friendly and eager to start a relationship with the community including support for local charities. As a family-owned, privately-held company, Thorntons strives daily to be people’s favorite place to stop when they are on the go.
Next up was being asked to say a few words at the new Citrus Park ER ribbon cutting. What an event, a great turn out and an awesome facility. I was given a personal tour and it was impressive. An extension of Medical Center of Trinity we have a fully equipped ER right here in the community. An open MRI CT, X-ray, portable X-ray, Sonogram, in-house laboratory and a dedicated children’s room. From a sports injury to a heart attack and everything in-between you’re in good hands with a fully certified staff.
The real first official duty? Let’s get the year kicked off with a big ole party, yes that’s right the annual Awards & Installation Banquet. This year it was back to an evening event and a theme, a red carpet Academy Awards Oscar theme! Over 100 people attended and everyone had a great time. Community Awards were given out including four high school senior scholarships. Let’s keep growing this annual event to be one of the premier Bay Area awards night and place to be seen.
We end up with one more ribbon cutting at the new Inspired Living Tampa facility. Wow twice in as many weeks an awesome place and real asset to our community. They set the bar high for a ribbon cutting, the food was all prepared in-house by their food staff and it was unbelievable. Located in Town and Country Inspired Living Tampa provides care for loved ones with memory impairment, such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Inspired Living offers families confidence and comfort as their loved ones enjoy meaningful days and inspiring care.
So that’s a taste of what’s happening, hope to see you somewhere in the UTB soon!
Stay Tuned
